Marigold Bars Review and giveaway

MariGold bars sent me this loot! I was so excited that I opened this almond mocha crunch prior to getting home for pictures.

Their huge selection of bars average about 250 calories each with 21 to 23 grams of protein. WOWZA!

There are so many things to love about these bars. Non-Gmo, grain free, only 4 grams of sugar, lactose & Casein free, and Gluten free! In addition the whey protein isolate comes from grass fed cows. In our house one is gluten free, one is dairy free and one is soy free. I do love that these bars fit all three categories making it MUCH easier to not have cross contamination.

MariGold makes grass fed ghee creations like salty caramel, Espresso bar with organic chocolate and coffee, Ginger spice pecan, choconut, chocolate praline, IQ bar, Paleoriffic, chocolate praline, Texas pecan praline, dark and salty, pure joy, chocolate squared,  and almond mocha crunch.

Their bars are a family business which means everything is local and premium products. They use raw organic coconut oil, organic grass fed ghee, organic fair trade chocolate, and coffee, raw organic coconut, raw cacao nibs and raw organic agave, coconut nectar, maple syrup and dates.

These bars are full of real food with no additives, preservatives, sugar alcohols or artificial flavors.

As I delve further into my health and wellness studies, this is HUGE. The majority of ones health and wellness journey starts in the kitchen. If you feed your body junk, you will have limited results with any exercise program.

My only comment is a sheer personal preference. I would like to see an option with hemp or pea protein for those who cant have whey or soy. I know this can be hard to just sub into a recipe. In any case I do love the taste and texture of these bars.

Ogosport review

OgoSport  sent me the aero zipp disk and the Batapult to review.

Need a fun way to get your kids outdoors and away from the electronics? Try these new toys that launched at Toy fair 2015 in New York City (booth #1977) for the 2015 spring/summer season! http://www.toyfairny.com/

First a little background on OgoSport. They are headquartered in the Brooklyn navy yard in Brooklyn New York. They design award winning toys to get families to focus on “Move.Think.Play” concept. Rick Goodwin and Kevin Williams are designers that founded OgoSports for everyone to encourage movement and interaction. These include outdoor and construction oriented toys. The OgoDisk was even featured in the Smurfs movie!  There are so many other toys that my daughter would love. In looking at the products my daughter would LOVE the large darts, ogo parker activity mat, Ogobild kit pod, OgoDisk Raq, Super Pod kit and the OgoBild animate it! There are so many products and they are all so amazing! Hopefully if we get enough traffic on this post they will agree to another review and giveaway!
J

These are super fun for the kids AND the adults!

The aero zipp disk single Is great for kids! There is a single snap lock that holds the disk at an angle that sends the disk straight and far distances. This product allows for less effort and more accurate throws that many of the traditional disk type toys. This accuracy means there isn’t any drag so it goes farther….faster! This makes this fun and less frustrating for the kids. LCL gets discouraged quickly when she can’t do things accurately so this is a great concept toy to get her confidence level up.
Secondly there is the Batapult.
This is awesome! It is a hinged bat with a foam ball. The bat clicks into position with a snap to make the ball go further with less effort. As a mother of a daughter and a grandmother to both a boy and a girl, this Batapult is great for both. In a house full of princesses I love toys that do not have a perceived gender barrier.

Another bonus to this company is they have won awards for their open play concept Parents choice award, TillyWig Awards, Dr. Toy Award, Canadian Toy Testing Council, The National Parenting Center Award, and NAPPA Award.

KidOfit shoes review and giveaway

KidOFit sent me this pair of shoes to review. Having reviewed a pair of these before I can honestly tell you as a parent this is the easiest shoe to size for your child.

My child didn't want to cooperate (This NEVER happens to you, right?) I am showing you the see through bottom with my hand or you can review the prior post here. Like I said before , ,my favorite feature is the clear bottom to see where their toes are which is BRILLIANT for little ones. This eliminates the need to push on toes to guess where they are! I LOVE this brand. The only down side is that they only make them to size 12.

I chose sandals since spring will be here soon. Little crazy life prefers closed toe because of barkdust and scuffed toes.  The yellow straps are Velcro type material that are adjustable.
These shoes have a perfect fit system. They have Velcro across the top and along the heel as well.  This guarantees a nice comfortable fit as your child grows.

Read up on KidOFit site regarding kids foot health.

Kidofit has a wide toe box that allows for comfort without pinching their tiny toes.

The shoes come with two inserts that offer customized fit. What I love about this is the child acan wear the shoes that much longer and costs you less in replacement shoes!

The bottom of the shoe is made with thin flexible elastomer which mimics barefoot walking while promoting natural foot motion.

The interior is made from soft fabric, foam padding and seamless construction. Little Crazy life often goes without socks due to seams in her socks. These shoes would be great for kids like this or for those with tactile issues.

From the KidOFit website.  "KidOFit shoes were created by Ron Bar who has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering! He specializes in foot biomechanics and ergonomics design. The shoes are engineered with unique features designed to promote healthy foot development during the early stages of growth and offer unsurpassed comfort and protection."

Spaglow review and giveaway

Greenair sent me this spaglow diffuser. I think this is my new favorite!! Greenair products have been fantastic. I had an issue with one and they promptly sent me out a new base unit to replace the one that went bad.

It has the standard cord, base, and cover. The hand blown glass cover on this unit looks so classy in a front room.  There is an indent in the base to indicate a water fill line within the circular base.

There is a small lip that the glass cover fits into.

the bottom has a button that is activated when you push down on the cover. This is great because there is no button that is seen and it looks like a fancy little lamp that emits a very soft glow.

The first click rotates through the colors while diffusing.

The second push to click the button on the bottom clicks and that locks the current color and diffuses. The third click will turn off the light and still diffuse, while the fourth click turns the unit off.

This unit also has an auto off when it runs out of water.  I have to say that this is a fantastic unit to have in the living area when guests come in. With the light off and diffusing your house smells wonderful and clean without guests knowing! If you have kids or pets... this will be great!

Green air also sent me two items from their new line of Lava Stone Jewelry!! One drop of oil will dispense for a couple days! How amazing is that!? What a fabulous idea! The kids version is on the right. What a great way to help adults AND kids focus.

Home Ecology Aquaponic Kitchen garden review

Home Ecology Aquaponic Kitchen garden has a fantastic Indigogo campaign!  You’ve got to check them out! I have not received one of these bad boys yet, but will in exchange for reviewing the concept and vision. Once I get one of these in hand, I will expand my review so you can see actual pictures.

This is a self-cleaning aquarium that is suited for Betta fish and Siamese fighting fish in the bottom chamber. These fish provide nutrients that feed the plants. The upper chamber is self-watering and self-fertilizing. This makes it easy to grow fresh greens, herbs and flowers. Aquaponic cycle mimics a natural floating wetland ecosystem in which fish and plants form a guild and support each other’s development. This Aquaponic system self-sustains and recycles nutrients in a 7 gallon tank. How cool is that? Their kickstarter was successful and should be in production soon!

One thing I do love about this product is for every product sold Home Ecology donates to generate seed bank resources and regenerative agriculture tools. These items benefit communities experiencing food insecurity.
Their website discusses their missions and goals which are to allow people to grow food in their homes and support communities with insecure sources of food.  They have a mission to connect the local food movement with global food justice
I love that this product will bring gardening indoors and reconnect people with growing locally. By providing sustainable living we can lessen our dependence on other food sources as well as knowing where our food comes from. This product will create knowledge within our youth of how food is grown and that we need to have a hand in this.
I would LOVE to see this company develop a school program to teach our kids to be socially responsible.
