Grip6 Belt review and giveaway

Grip6 NO HOLES. NO FLAP. NO BULK.
WOW! We love this belt! This Grip6 Belt is a minimalist belt and its pretty awesome! It has a clean, symmetric design. The belt comes protected with a cover that also shows how to thread the webbing on the inside.

Read here for the founders bios. Fascinating stuff.

They started their dream with Kickstarter!

The buckle and webbing can be customizable into almost any combination you can imagine. The buckle low profile and flat as to not add bulk to an outfit. The buckle is a solid piece of aluminum. The belts webbing is durable military grade material and a unique locking mechanism to keep it from slipping. Their website is SO slick. You can change the different options to see exactly what the belt looks like. The pictures are amazing and really showcase the quality and beauty of this belt. It is simple and amazing. Check out how they are made here.

  2. I like the versatility and ease of use. The notches on a standard belt don't accommodate everyone. Sometimes you are stuck in the middle.

  6. The Grip6 buckle was designed as a single solid part, with a no-slip locking mechanism. Love to try this my belts never work well.

  8. I like how there are no holes. My husband had to make notches for a belt to fit, if he goes down one size is to small, if he goes up a size, he has to make notches.

  9. This is an amazing belt! Love that there aren't any holes as some people fit between them and normal belts just don't fit them!

  16. As a former Engineering & Architecture Student, the sheer *simplicity* of the design of the Grip6 & Carbon6 Buckle & Belt and how it self-locks into place based on friction and the angle in which the belt enters the buckle, its extreme light weight made of high-end aerospace-grade Aluminum used for the buckle or the dual layers of Military Webbing that make up the belt and its rated breaking point of 3600 lbs, the ability to swap buckles and belts and not be "locked" into set patterns, its virtually flat design as opposed to most Belts that leave a noticeable bulge at the buckle, and the very reasonable pricepoint compared to the last halfway-decent quality leather belt I went shopping for all caught my eye. All the reviews I found were not just positive but *raved* over the product. And so I thought I'd pick up one or two...

I ended up purchasing two Grip6 Buckles, in Orange and Red along with the Black & Silver Belts that would work visually with either buckle color. I also preordered the Carbon6 "Dark Matter" & "Labyrinth" carbon fiber buckle patterns as I've always been a fan or Carbon-based material (I'm a Musician, and the vast majority of my Basses use Carbon Fiber in the necks to reinforce and strengthen them against the string tension put against the wood when tuned to Concert Pitch) and the different 3-dimensional patterns within the Gloss Black of the Carbon Fiber and against either the black or silver belts make for a minimalist yet classy design that I can't wait to wear with my Suits or a "dressier" outfit.

It's also extremely nice to be able to cinch the belt as tight or as loose as you like, and not be "restrained" by the placement of arbitrary notches in the belt. This allows all of ones pants to fit better, whether it be your Jeans or Khakis, or your Suit Pants with the Dress Shirt tucked in, which makes *EVERYTHING* fit better. The built quality, whether it be the aerospace-grade Aluminum Grip6 Buckles, the high-tech strength of the Carbon6 Buckles, or the Military-grade Belt Webbing is extremely high, especially at the relatively low-cost of the Grip6 aluminum, Carbon6 carbon fiber & Belt Webbing. I expect to purchase at least one-to-two more Grip6 Buckle, most likely the "Gunmetal" or "Silver" Buckle and possible the "Brown Strap". But even if I remain with what I currently own, that gives me the options for 8 different combinations of colors and/or designs in a very forward-looking design compared to most belts on the market for what I consider a very reasonable price. For a product Designed, Made, Packaged & Shipped In The USA. Not "Designed in the USA, Made Somewhere Else" (and I'm not knocking Companies that do that: Economies Of Scale, amount other Business Factors). And the Buckle and Belt are a Unisex design, working and looking just as nice on either gender, which is shown in Grip6's advertising. Kudos to designer & founder BJ Minson for coming up with a fantastic design which is easy-to-use and an upgrade on most every belt on the market, works with both Jeans, Suits and everything in-between, a color palette with both the buckle as well as belt material that most everybody will find a few choices that works with whatever their own personal style is, the stylistic upgrade / work of art that is the Carbon6 Carbon Fiber Buckle is, and overall a far better "Belt Experience" that if most of us customers are honest, we didn't even realize we needed or deserved.
