Paderno sent me this cool vegetable slicer to review and give my opinion on.
At first glance it didnt look that sturdy to me. There are suction cups on the bottom to attach it to the counter which made a huge difference.
It comes with 3 blades that make different spiral cuts.
The blades slide in like this:
Attach fruit to the handle and spikes, put it into the base and you are ready to go!
Push and crank the handle, and EAT!
The last neat thing I noticed as I was cleaning up is this........It cored the apple as well!!
This was a super fun product. The cleanup was super easy to do and just took a good rinse.
The site describes this as the following:
The spiral vegetable slicer cuts vegetables and fruits into curly, ribbon-like slices. By placing the vegetable or fruit on the prongs of the wheel and turning the wheel while pushing the base toward the vertical julienne blade, continuous spiral strands and curled julienne strips are created. The slicer is made of plastic.
Features:
- 3 sets of blades with 1/8'' (3mm) or 1/4'' (6mm) spacing
- Straight blade for ribbon cuts
- Slicer Material: Plastic
- Cleaning and care: Dishwasher safe
- Warranty: 1 year
