Vermitek Bokashi Composter Review

Recently we posted about a worm farm from Vermitek. Its going strong and we have doubled the amount of worms. We have started getting worm juice to use on our garden and its fantastic!

Now I have Vermitek Bokashi Composter to blog about. VermiTek designs, manufactures, and distributes multiple items from Worm Compost Bins and Bokashi Compost Kits to barrels and gardening accessories.  

I have always been leary of composting because of the perceived smell I associated with it. If you want to try it, this is a great starting point. Its compact and does not smell.

The word Bokashi is Japanese meaning ‘Fermented Organic Matter’.  We have had no foul odor and honestly its a sweeter smell than I was expecting.   This is due to the bran-based material made with a culture of Effective Microorganisms. It helps ferment your food waste which is a compost activator.

I love the simplicity of using Bokashi. You literally put all your solid food waste in the composter, bury them in the Bokashi bran and seal the lid. The bran breaks it all down in two weeks to be poured into your garden as a natural fertilizer. This also has a spigot to get the liquid out for your plants or to use as a natural enzyme to clear your drains. Not to mention the compost you can pour out into the garden. This is a great composter! We keep it in the garage just outside the door. Each day we throw all the collected compost items that we don't save or feed the worms, and throw it in this bucket.  If we had another bucket, we would reduce our food waste by about fifty percent.

Furinno shelf review

Furinno sent me their Turn-N-Tube 4-Tier Multipurpose Shelf Display Rack. We used this in the office where we had a much heavier bookshelf to display special trinkets. It is SO Much better in there and the room feels lighter.

The Turn-N-Tube Series storage shelves comes in 2-3-4-5-Tiers and variety of width and depth. This model holds about 25 pounds.

 It came in a compact box.  There are no screws involved,so you can get the kiddos involved! The materials comply with particle board for furniture processed from parts of rubber trees.

 Mr Crazy Life put it together for me so I could get pictures. :) All you have to do is turn the tubes to connect the shelves. 

 The poles just screw into eachother, easy peasy.

 Then cap off the poles at the top.

Voila! This took 10 minutes to assemble. Its super easy and great furniture for an office or family room. Its great disposable furniture to use in an older kids room as well.

Royal Tea Candle Review

 Royal Tea candle sent me this ADORABLE Candle. My daughter got a little excited to pull this tab out to see the jewelry so I put it back together. This is actually a good thing as it shows you where the jewelry actually is. :)

The jewelry, unlike other brands, is attached to an adorable tea bag type idea. When it melts enough, you pull the Royal Tea Candle tab up and out comes your jewelry.

 This is my necklace unwrapped. There was no indication of what it was worth.

 The colors are so beautiful on the front. Its a clear red ruby type pendant with accents of diamond type gems.

 The back is silver.

 The candle is soy and burns evenly. The smell is amazing!! Its strong without being overpowering.

After 4 hours of burning, I blew the candle out and let it harden again.

This candle is a great bargain for the cost. You even have an adorable tea cup that you can clean and use after the candle is all used up! :)

NeoCell Review and Giveaway

I cannot identify if the product uses natural or synthetic forms of the vitamins and minerals. I’ve taken many supplements, vitamins and such over the years. With this experience coupled with my personal research for my degree in health and wellness I can tell you that everyone’s health needs are completely different. You must be your own advocate and research unbiased information that shows both sides. That being said, I have used these products for 30 days. I have seen some improvement in my skin with these products. It is difficult to say how big of a difference since it has been a short time, or whether the results will last. I used to have dry patches on my cheeks which seem to have diminished. I will be interested to see if my skin continues to change.

Everyone has different results due to their individual absorption rates and current health issues. I cannot say whether or not you will have results with these products, just my personal experience.

Skinnny Tan Review

Skinny Tan sent me this product to test and review. Skinny Tan says its the first self-tanner that combines a natural tanning active with naturally derived skin smoothing actives to tan, contour and reduce the visible appearance of cellulite.

Kor Wobble Stools Review

KOR sent me a few kid sized wobble stools to review. I shared them with my team to get adequate feedback and I am happy to provide you with some amazing results.

The Kor Wobble Stool is an amazing product that provides active sitting. As a prior educator for normal and special needs classes, I see the benefits of this chair in the classroom. This is especially true with the younger grades. Kids need to move and this can really help them as they enter the primary grades.

Many schools expect kids to sit still and focus on work, but in reality, this is really difficult for most kids. With the rise of ADHD, ADD, anxiety, autism spectrum and sensory issues this adds a whole new layer of difficulty for kids.

Now you add stiff, uncomfortable rigid chairs that create an unnatural sitting position and you have physical issues added to that. These stools gently rock and spin via a slightly rounded base allowing active sitting vs fidgeting. This allows the body to stretch and move while allowing the person to focus on what they are doing. They have a 10” toddler, kids 14”, and an 18.7” teen size.

Our Kor Wobble chair kids test team consisted of two three year olds using the toddler stool, a kindergartener using the kids stool, and three 2^nd graders/ 1 first grader using teen and kids stools. The size of stool is dependent on the individual kid due to varying heights. My daughter is 8 and prefers the kid stool, but can easily use the teen stool as well.

The first grader and one of the second graders LOVED using these stools to recreate a superman flying effect. This builds core strength, balance and confidence in their own bodies and abilities as well.

Forbes recently published an article in 2015 about kids with ADHD learning better when they squirm. In my experience it is not just a specified group of kids, its ALL kids. These chairs help with core strength, balance and attention.

The feedback I had from those who used the Kor chairs has been tremendous. The stools don’t fit a standard table, but they work great with a kids desk or table. We bought our daughter a student sized desk to pair with a stool. We had great success with this combo. She used to sit at the table or counter on a regular chair and the result was A LOT of homework frustration.

We let her use the wobble stool and get used to its movements and then transitioned to her homework station with the stools. While there was still frustration with the actual work, there were a lot less tears and chewing of the nails.

This is quite a simple design, but the benefits from it are outstanding. I am betting more people would be productive at work if they had these. I see that they have an adult chair as well. If you've tried it, let me know!!

Boot Scoot review and giveaway
